Bates of Troy, and Dennis Dawley of Londonderry, Vt.; his stepfather, Ted Gaal of Cambridge; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Clyde Fobes of Center White Creek Baptist Church, a friend of Jim, was held on Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at 10 a.m. at the Cambridge United Presbyterian Church, 81 East Main St. Those wishing to make donations in Jim’s memory may do so to the James M. “Cowhead” Memorial Fund, c/o Glens Falls Bank, 25 West Main St., Cambridge, NY 12816. Jim was a “one of a kind guy,” an excellent husband, father and friend. He will be greatly missed.
