1961 Summer Rec Program
Thanks to Carson Fuller for establishing these programs, and thanks to all the volunteers who made it happen. Swimming lessons at Hedges. Craft program in the Kindergarten wing. Baseball at night. For swimming lessons you could catch the school bus at school … or you could walk over to the Library, climb on the naval gun in the yard, then catch the bus as it pulled out of the bus garage driveway. From the 6-Jul-1961 Wash County Post newspaper here are the names of all the kids in the Grasshopper League, the Little League, and the Pony League. These are the kids I grew up with

Whole Bunch of Photos
I uploaded 50 old photos of buildings in Cambridge. I’m working to add captions to provide context. There’s Bill’s Restaurant, Mac’s Restaurant, and Giari’s Pizza. But there are others that may stump you. Do you remember the Flying A gas station on the northwest corner of Main and Union? There’s Frank Church’s barber shop, which you may remember as Bill Robertson’s. Or Frank Richardson’s Drug Store, later LeGrys’. Or G. Maxwell store that became Jack Weller’s restaurant. Take a gander and see what memories these photos elicit.

1948 Varsity Cheerleaders
I’m seeking names for the CCS cheerleaders in this photo. Back row left end is Ruth Faile Durrin who was class of 1948. (note: I used software to try to enhance the photo. I don’t think it distorted the faces much if any)

Let’s try to help Ken with figuring out the names for the Cheerleader picture.
Don’t forget, Reunion is getting closer. The dates are July 17, 18 & 19th.
Thank you to all who have contacted me with comments and suggestions. Please keep them coming!
I still have not forgotten about the followup on the pine trees. I am trying to keep the emails to a certain length and since there are pictures and articles I want to make sure that everyone is able to receive them.
Kathy
