===================
My earliest recollections of Cambridge are when we lived in a two-story grey house (the last one on the road leading up to the Mary McClellan Hospital through the woods before the woods began and I think there was sort of an archway just past our house at the beginning of the forest with signage for the hospital).
We had a huge lawn and a very large garden, as well as a thicket of BlackBerry bushes, and my Mother used to (they called it "Canning" at the time) the vegetables from the garden and put them into those glass jars with screw-on metal lids (maybe called Mason Jars), and store them in the basement on shelves for use in the winter when we were snowed in. I had a pet Collie Dog, and on the other side of our huge lawn was a small wooden building that was a Dentist's Office.
I think I would have been older than a first-grader then, but that is the earliest period I remember, so I can't help identify the background of the new photos you found and are on the new website. I think I used to walk to school from there, so it must not have been too far; at least at that time, maybe first grade was different and I didn't walk.
